This peak of visitation generated an estimated economic impact of $3.5 billion While hospitality and tourism in Louisville and throughout the country has been hit hard, the industry is poised to make a strong come back and Louisville’s assets help set it apart from the competition. These include a newly expanded downtown Kentucky International Convention Center, 1.2 million square feet of contiguous meeting space at the Kentucky Exposition Center, over 21,000 hotel rooms and growing, and nearly a dozen Urban Bourbon experiences driving the city’s authentic culture with other iconic attractions and a strong local restaurants culture.
