Hometown Tourist Celebration
Do you know…Over 5 million visitors come to Louisville each year to visit friends & family?
Louisville’s Hometown Tourist Celebration (May 6 to 31), has been encouraging those friends and family – YOU – to “be a tourist in their own hometown” for more than a decade.
During the month, deep discounts at 55 area attractions, 15 hotels and 14 restaurants are valid for anyone with a Kentucky or Indiana ID, local college ID or military ID.
New this year – Hometown Quest Scavenger Hunt
Part race, part scavenger hunt and part historical, sight-seeing tour, The Hometown Quest is an activity filled event for both children and adults.
Organized by The Louisville Quest, this hunt is fun, easy to do and best of all – FREE! Pick up your game cards and complete the scavenger hunt on Saturdays, May 11, 18 or 25 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Game cards available at the Louisville Visitors Center (4th and Jefferson).
Answer challenge questions and solve puzzles at different locations within 60 minutes while taking a tour of downtown Louisville. After completing the scheduled task or activity at each location on the spaces, Stamp Masters will verify the completion of the activities and place an official stamp on the game card. Once all spaces are filled, turn in your completed game card at the Louisville Visitors Center and get a free official Louisville t-shirt.
