“Leave a Legacy in Louisville” is a program designed to make it easy for event planners to connect with locally grown non-profits. By choosing to donate to a Leave a Legacy in Louisville organization you can be assured that your gift will go far.
Whether your program already includes a local financial contribution or you’re looking to add additional value for your attendees, this is a turnkey way to grow the impact of your event! Each organization meets the specific criteria listed below and must submit an application to be featured:
Featured organization criteria:
- 501(c)(3) public charity or private foundation
- Unique to, or was founded in, Louisville or the surrounding area
- Serves and impacts a diverse set of communities
- Been in existence for at least 2 years

AMPED
Mission: Providing a free music program for youth, a free technology training program for adults, and Louisville's first and only Black and Latinx business incubator

Dogs Helping Heroes
Mission: Dedicated to helping restore lost freedom and peace of mind to wounded veterans, first responders, and Gold Star Families by gifting specially trained and certified assistance dogs.

Louisville Visual Art
Mission: Improving lives through visual art education, community outreach, and artist engagement since 1909.

Backside Learning Center
Mission: Building community and enriching the lives of equine workers and their families at Churchill Downs racetrack.

Family Scholar House
Mission: Working to end the cycle of poverty and transform our community by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency.

Louisville Grows
Mission: Growing greener, healthier neighborhoods through the environmental platforms of urban forestry, urban agriculture and urban sustainability; fostering green, just and sustainable communities; and encouraging volunteerism and support to reduce carbon offsets to fight climate change.

Supplies Over Seas
Mission: Meeting critical health care needs in medically impoverished communities around the world by collecting and distributing surplus medical supplies and equipment.

Blessings in a Backpack
Mission: Mobilizing communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for school-aged children across America who might otherwise go hungry.
