Louisville Hosts ‘Greatest Trade Show of 2024’

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 17, 2025) – Louisville is set to host one of the nation’s premier trade shows this week as Equip Exposition arrives in the city. Recently recognized by Trade Show Executive as the ‘Greatest Trade Show of 2024’ and recipient of the ‘Against All Odds Award,’ the event underscores its industry-leading status.

This show utilizes much of the Kentucky Exposition Center’s 1.2 million square feet October 21 – 24. This is the largest tradeshow for outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden equipment, light construction and landscape equipment.

Attendee registration numbers are trending well with over 26,000 expected participants hailing from all over the U.S. states as well as a variety of international attendees. Over $30 million in estimated economic impact (EEI) is expected to be generated from this show.

Equip Exposition was one of the largest conventions Louisville hosted in 2024 and it continues to have a big impact – both in local EEI and through the organization’s philanthropic outreach. Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), a U.S. trade association, and its education arm, The TurfMutt Foundation, will once again host Mulligan’s Mutt Madness, a national dog adoption event at the expo to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS). At the last Mulligan’s Mutt Madness, nearly every dog available found a home.

The fourth annual Mulligan’s 5K Fun Run and Walk, which also benefits KHS, will step off on October 22, taking participants across the Ohio River on Louisville’s award-winning Big Four Pedestrian Bridge.

Attendees will get the opportunity to experience Louisville’s attractions and entertainment scene with a sponsored evening at Churchill Downs and several free concerts around the city throughout the week.
