Wilson Creek Backcountry Tour
Discover Bernheim’s backcountry on an exciting hike and van tour with Volunteer Naturalists.
This guided experience offers a rare chance to explore remote areas of Bernheim, including the Wilson Creek restoration area, Eagle Ridge viewpoint, Bean House, a native canebrake, and a future wetland site. Along the way, enjoy several short, easy hikes on old wagon roads with minimal elevation change, totaling about one mile of walking. Bring water and a sack lunch or snacks to enjoy at the historic Bean House.
For your safety and comfort, sturdy, treaded shoes or hiking boots are essential, and hiking sticks are highly recommended. Please avoid tennis shoes, as parts of the trail may be slippery.
