The Black Boy Narratives

The Black Boy Narratives

The Black Boy Narratives is an event that will create a safe and welcoming space for Black men and boys in Louisville. Attendees will enjoy music, vendors, a writing workshop, and two table readings of the play that inspired the event. This event is family-friendly and open to all ages.

About the play: In 2025, a small group of young Black men interviewed their friends, classmates, and family members. The result is a play that demonstrates what happens when you give Black males a safe space to exist and an avenue to share their stories—written by Christian Loriel Lucas and assistant playwrights Isaiah Beasley, Braeden Bingham, Camren Duncan, Aiden Ferman, Camron Moran, and Jayden Richardson.

12:30 PM - 4:00 PM - Vendor Market held in Clark-Todd Hall

1:00 PM and 3:00 PM – Live Performances in the MeX Theater
