Nature (+) Digital Photography
Join photographer and artist Tatiana Rathke for a creative exploration of forest trees through the lens of your camera.
The program begins with a short lecture on foundational techniques, followed by a guided 1.2-mile photography walk focused on composition, light, and perspective.
DSLR cameras are recommended, and a basic working knowledge of your camera will be helpful. Participants with cell phones are welcome. Zoom lenses (or phones with telephoto capability) are encouraged to capture a variety of distances and perspectives.
Participants will be encouraged to slow down, observe with fresh eyes, and explore the quiet presence of trees—capturing both their towering forms in the landscape and their expressive details in leaves, bark, branches, and roots.
This workshop invites you to see the forest not only as scenery, but as a living presence filled with personality, poetry, and reflection. All skill levels welcome.
Each Nature (+) class begins with a short interpretive stroll led by a naturalist, offering context and inspiration before creating.
