Louisville Roller Derby 20th Anniversary Bout
Louisville Roller Derby is excited to announce its upcoming double-header on Nov. 8, 2025, at the Triple Crown Pavilion. This highly anticipated event is in celebration of the team’s 20th anniversary and closes their 2025 season.
The Nov. 8 event will feature two thrilling matchups, and doors open to the public at 4 p.m. Louisville Junior Roller Derby will kick off the event at 4:30 p.m. in a showcase against Indianapolis Junior Roller Derby.
Following that, Louisville Roller Derby will take the track at 7 p.m. for an intraleague battle. Their one-time teams are named to commemorate two of the league's founding members: Assphalt Annies vs Bad Pennies. “We are here because a group of women, led by Jenni Ahlrich and Annie Harlow, had a dream to create something special in Louisville. So many years, hundreds of league member impacted, and a junior league later, we're still going strong. I'm excited to celebrate their legacy.”
“We’re thrilled to be closing our season at home here in Louisville,” said Vice President of Louisville Roller Derby Hanna Woods, known as Jennifer Cruelidge to the league. “We spend the majority of our season traveling across the region to compete, so it means a lot to us to be finishing this season strong in front of our hometown fans who have been supporting us for the last 20 seasons.”
This event offers fans the chance to cheer on Louisville’s only flat-track roller derby league in a family-friendly atmosphere, fostering a sense of community engagement.
Fans will be encouraged to participate in activities like voting for fan favorites, with proceeds benefitting the Voices of Kentuckiana, a chorus for the community that celebrates diversity and is dedicated to fostering positive social change through artistic excellence.
Tickets start at $20 for adults and $12 for children seven to 12. Children under seven are admitted free of charge. Group pricing, season passes and sliding-scale options are also available.
Louisville Roller Derby is “excited” to host fans at the Triple Crown Pavilion, a new venue for the team and fans alike, Woods said. She knows amenities like free parking, concessions and a bar are “important to fans.”
The bout will be held on the ground floor with no need for stairs or elevators and is located near major highway exits. Seating will also be provided.
