Louisville Tourism Adds Staff and Announces Promotions

Louisville Tourism recently onboarded a new employee and promoted several tenured employees in the Tourism Development and Destination Services departments.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 18, 2022) – Louisville Tourism recently onboarded a new employee and promoted several tenured employees in the Tourism Development and Destination Services departments.

Saundra Robertson
has been promoted to Senior Tourism Sales Manager, responsible for the planning and execution of sales and marketing strategies for Tourism Motorcoach/Group tour & travel markets. She also represents the city of Louisville at major industry trade shows, marketplaces and sales missions. She has been with Louisville Tourism since 2007. She has recently completed the Certified Travel Industry Specialist Program (CTIS) through the American Bus Association and Indiana University/Purdue University (IUPUI). Robertson serves on the Southwest Dream Team board and is a member of the West Louisville Urban Coalition, Leadership Louisville and other community efforts.

Within the Destination Services department, Destiny Monyhan has been promoted to Senior Destination Services Manager, where she has been the point of contact for numerous convention and events groups and meeting planners. She joined the Services Team in 2011 as a Services Manager and over the last 11 years in that role has led the organization’s Green Meetings initiative, coordinating Days of Service for several large convention groups and most recently played an integral role in the development of the Leave a Legacy in Louisville program. She began with Louisville Tourism at the Louisville Visitor Center in 2010.

Becca Lloyd
has been promoted to Senior Housing Services Manager after serving in her current housing role since 2011. Over the last 11 years she has grown her role into the singular resource for hotels in our community while simultaneously growing the organization’s group housing services. This growth culminated in the most housing events ever actualized in one year. Lloyd will continue to oversee the part-time staff that operate the call center and front desk and play a pivotal role in the training of new housing and part-time staff. She started with Louisville Tourism as a Convention Sales Assistant in 2004, supporting some of the highest producing market segments for convention sales.

Zayra Barragan has been hired as the Tourism Development Coordinator, joining Louisville Tourism in March. She will play an instrumental part in achieving departmental goals, upholding relationships with Louisville Tourism partners and organizing the Attraction Network Meetings. Previously she was the Communications Coordinator for the Shelbyville Convention and Visitors Bureau.
