Louisville Recognized as a Favorite Destination by National Magazine
Selected by Sports Destination Magazine as a Winner for Accommodations and Hospitality
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 30, 2018) —A national sports magazine named Louisville a favorite destination for accommodations and hospitality in their annual reader’s choice awards.
Sports Destination Management selected Louisville in their May/June 2018 issue due to the city’s notoriety as an authentic destination. Louisville routinely hosts sporting related meetings and exposure tournaments including July’s TFN Run 4 Roses, one of the largest girls youth basketball tournaments in the United States.
The magazine cited Louisville’s staff as an instrumental part of the favorite destination accolade noting the Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) was named the Large Market Sports Commission of the Year in 2018 by National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC).
Louisville has received additional tourism accolades this year including Lonely Planet’s 10 Top U.S. Destinations, National Geographic’s Top 29 U.S. City on the Rise and a Top 5 City to Watch for Meetings and Events by Meetings Today.
