Louisville Pure Tap® Sings About Turning 21!

Although Louisville Water Company has provided water to the city of Louisville and surrounding counties since 1860, it was only in 1997 that we decided our water was so good it deserved its own name. The water was officially trademarked Louisville pure tap® that year and what better way to celebrate one of this city’s favorite drinks – we do love our beverages - than by hosting a 21stbirthday celebration. It’s more fun to drink at 21!

The Louisville pure tap® brand was introduced to the public with a campaign that included a rap song called “You Can’t Top the Tap.” One of the highlights of the 21stanniversary celebration is a song contest to create a new version of “You Can’t Top the Tap.” The public is invited to submit a video version of this classic 90s song and share with Louisville Water before July 4, 2018. We encourage creativity. Perform it as a country song. Add new lyrics. Use a green screen to take us on a journey. Just remember to keep it family friendly and under two minutes. All entrants can submit a link to the YouTube or Vimeo video at contests@louisvillewater.com. Our panel of pure tap experts will select top five favorite submissions and then we’ll ask all of Louisville to vote for their favorite to win two tickets to PNC Broadway in Louisville’s production of HAMILTON.
