IdeaFestival is announcing additional speakers for the 2015 event. The Festival boasts over 20 speakers and performers who will inspire, entertain and promote disruptive idea creation and innovation from September 29th thru October 2nd at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts.

This powerful event brings together an impressive list of emerging and well-known influencers from a variety of disciplines including science, the arts, design, business, film, technology, education and much more – all working towards the convergence and exploration of how ideas shape our future. Additional speakers and influencers announced for this year include:

Daniel Kish – Blind since early childhood, Kish has been a global crusader for the blind, breaking down barriers and helping tens of thousands of blind clients and families realize their potential.

Traci Mann– Director and founder of The Eating Lab at the University of Minnesota. The lab explores the physiological and psychological dynamics surrounding dieting, eating, obesity, health and self-control.

Daniel Altman – An economist and internationally bestselling author, he is the creator of the Baseline Profitability Index, a tool for assessing the attractiveness of investing in markets around the world that is published by Foreign Policy magazine.

Ella Sanders– Author of Lost in Translation: An Illustrated Compendium of Untranslatable Words from Around the World. Both a writer and an illustrator, she intentionally lives all over the place – most recently spotted in Morocco, the UK and Switzerland.

Carey Smith– Founder and CBA (Chief Big Ass) of Big Ass Fans. While the quirky name understandably garners a lot of attention, it’s the serious work behind the scenes that drives the company’s continued innovative success in industrial, commercial and residential spaces.

Kelly Heaton – American artist exploring the mysteries of life, death and God. Her art juxtaposes the natural with the man-made to question what is alive and who is the creator.
