Mammoth, Mastodons & Elephants, Oh My!

Ice Age mammoths and mastodons, and modern elephants, have many similarities – and important differences. This one-hour program in the rotunda will explore how they lived, what they ate, and speculate why the Pleistocene brethren became extinct. Stan Dunn, a long-time park volunteer naturalist, developed this new program about these amazing mammals. Free activity.
