With over 9,000 square feet of exhibition space, as well as a dedicated video lounge, the museum features dynamic group and solo exhibitions, as well as permanent, commissioned installations.

A gem among Louisville museums, 21c Museum, showcases work by Bill Viola, Tony Oursler, Andres Serrano, Sam Taylor Wood, Daniel Levinthal, Yinka Shonibare, Judy Fox, Chuck Close, Alfredo Jaar, Kara Walker and more.

As North America’s first museum devoted solely to art of the 21st century, 21c Museum is committed to featuring a rotating program of thought-provoking solo and group exhibitions that reflect the global nature of art today, as well as site-specific, commissioned installations.

As a standout among museums in Louisville, 21c is open 24/7, however video installations are only able to be visited between 7am and 1am. Our Louisville art museum offers free guided docent tours.
