Old Fashioned Bourbon Bundt Cake
Make cake according to box instructions, except reduce water by 1/3 cup. Add Bourbon, orange juice and cherries.
Pour into greased bundt pan and bake (box instructions).
Bring water and butter to a boil, then add sugar and Bourbon and turn off heat.
Flip out cake from pan and pour about a ¼ cup of the Bourbon sauce into the pan and return cake.
Poke holes in cake from the top and pour remaining sauce over cake.
Let sit at least one hour, then turn out onto a cake plate and garnish with orange wedges and cherries for serving.
Frozen Old Fashioneds
In a large bowl microwave sugar and water to dissolve the sugar. Mix in the orange juice concentrate, cherry juice, bourbon and bitters. Freeze the concoction overnight. To serve – scoop out enough of the mixture to fill an old fashioned glass 2/3 of the way. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
