Senior Sales Manager
While attending High School, I joined the Co-Op program at the Brown in 2001. It was through this program that I started working with the Louisville CVB as one of their Customer Service Coordinators. I worked for them part-time until I was promoted full-time as their Convention Services Assistant. I stayed on for about 7+ years until I relocated to Florida in 2008. I've been in Customer Service handling visitor information and registration needs, Housing managing Group Blocks and Individual Reservations, I was a Convention Services Assistant, an Executive Administrative Assistant, Sales Assistant, and Executive Meeting Manager. Most recently I've maintained the role as a Senior Sales Manager since 2017 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, with a recent transition to focus on a different demographic at the Springhill Suites & Fairfield Louisville Downtown.
What I like the most about working in hospitality is being able to create opportunities to attract new customers - it is pretty amazing. People that have never given much thought about our city; changing their perceptions and ultimately providing them with a memorable experience.
I was fortunate to have been exposed to such a wonderful opportunity at a young age. I've met many people and am grateful for every fortuity I've been awarded along the way. It certainly hasn't always been easy and at times challenging, but has also been most gratifying.
