Galentine's Day & Valentine's Day in Louisville

As Leslie Knope said on Parks and Recreation, February 13 – Galentine’s Day-- is a special day of “ladies celebrating ladies” before spending February 14 with their sweethearts. We have rounded up a list of Galentine & Valentine activities around town from events to restaurants to hotel overnight packages.


The Champagnery – Looking for something sparkly and bubbly to enjoy with the gals? Head to The Champagnery on lower Frankfort Ave. where you can enjoy sparkling wines from all around the world. This guided tasting will feature exceptional and unique Rosé sparkling wines, a special takeaway gift, and will be taught by our delightful sommelier, Tony Majors! Tickets to the tasting are $35 per person, with three tasting times at 5:30, 7, and 8:30pm on February 13th.

The Hub Louisville – Celebrate the amazing gals in your life at the Hub’s Galentine’s Day Brunch (February 13 or 14) with a delicious brunch menu, themed cocktails, and $2 strawberry Mimosas to enjoy!

Maddox & Rose Marketplace – Get your Galentine’s together on February 12 from 5 to 8 pm. for a Ladies Night event to create your own candle custom candle. Throw in classic cocktails, themed charcuterie offerings, and a boss babe playlist to complete the evening. Also, check out their February 13 event that will feature a flower bar and a specialty candle jar to make your candle.

Work the Metal – Head to Butchertown with your squad on February 13th to create one-of-a-kind, beautiful “heart-felt” wall art during this themed sip & paint class led by Little Golden Fox, out of Madison Indiana. While you’re painting enjoy two cocktails from the Wine Bar, your own individual charcuterie box, and 10% off your purchases at Work the Metal.


Actors Theatre of Louisville – After dinner, grab some dessert and cuddle up with your valentine for a virtual performance by Actors Theatre of Louisville. This passion-filled interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo & Juliet explores the entrenched divisions that animate contemporary culture — and the tragic costs of intolerance.

Clayton & Crume – Sip some bourbon and handcraft your very own leather belt in NuLu. From cutting the strap right off the hide, beveling, burnishing the edges, and securing with solid brass hardware, learn all the techniques from the experts to making a C&C belt. Gift this one-of-a-kind experience to your loved one and make it a night out together either February 10 or February 11.

Louisville Nature Center – Celebrate the holiday a little different with an outdoor, guided night hike around the Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve from 7-8pm to see the forest in a new way.


Fork & BarrelSpecially curated by executive chef Geoffrey Heyde offering a to-go four-course prix fixe menu for two featuring country pate with whole-grain mustard, onion, cherry mostarda and a baguette; a mixed green salad with raspberries, mandarin oranges, goat cheese and basil vinaigrette; choice of swordfish or crab and citrus-crusted filet as an entrée with sides including warm tomato and spinach couscous salad and grilled asparagus with paprika oil; and red velvet pound cake for dessert.

LouVino – A special four-course prix fixe menu featuring warm caramelized onion and goat cheese dip; a mixed green salad with roasted winter squash, brie cheese and Woodford Reserve vinaigrette; choice of seared scallops or grilled petite filet as an entree; and chocolate chip cookie dough beignets for dessert. The special Valentine's Day menu curated by culinary director Tavis Rockwell.

Proof on Main - Chef Jonathan’s special three-course dinner menu with dishes like Mushroom Risotto and Filet of Beef served with confit fingerling potatoes, roasted carrots, salsa verde, horseradish. Menu available Friday, February 12 – Sunday, February 14.
