Star Power: Lauren Johnson Awarded Prestigious 2021 Catalyst Award from Smart Meetings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 5, 2021) – Lauren Johnson, CEM, Senior Sales Manager for Louisville Tourism was one of five individuals recognized with a 2021 Catalyst Awards in the Rising Star category by the hospitality industry news organization Smart Meetings.

The Catalyst Awards encompass 41 leaders throughout seven categories who are nominated by their peers and chosen based on their responses to questions about their approach to delivering elevated hospitality and their vision for the future. Johnson was nominated by the International Association of Exhibitions (IAEE) and is featured in the November Smart Meetings magazine.

Johnson explains her approach to supercharging experiences, “I want my customers to experience something they never have before. Let me just tell you that creating memorable experiences for my customers is my love language. Whether it be a behind-the-scenes tour of the Churchill Downs Racetrack Horse Barns or a one-on-one mint julep-making class with a bartender in a bourbon distillery, I want my customers to smile when they think about the memories they made in Louisville—and leave here feeling like they are family.”
