Louisville Tourism Announces New Staff and Promotions

Louisville Tourism recently promoted an employee and hired several additional new employees across the organization.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (November 3, 2022) – Louisville Tourism recently promoted an employee and hired several additional new employees across the organization.

Zoey Wohl
transitioned from the role of Convention Sales Assistant to Convention Sales Coordinator. She is now overseeing a variety of projects including administrative support to the Sr. Vice President of Convention Development and department convention assistants, Cvent lead generation as well as administrative duties related to the agency’s Client Advisory Council. She assists in maintaining accurate client data, sales reporting assistance and will be instrumental during the fiscal year budget process.

Additionally, Veneatrea Bennett has joined Louisville Tourism as the Visitor Center Coordinator where she has started to oversee the Louisville Visitor Center’s inventory system to help increase merchandise sales and manage part-time staff. Bennett is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a major in Broadcasting and a minor in Event Planning. She has experience in retail management, media and event planning.

Two Convention Sales Assistants have also recently joined Louisville Tourism. Karen ‘KJ’ Johnson is supporting several major markets including health, medical & scientific, corporate, sports, direct selling, fraternal, trade business, reunions, hobby and legal/government. Her previous experience was with a promotional company which gave her experience in customer service, account management, procurement, shipping & receiving.

Additionally, Emily Yarbrough, also has started in her new Convention Sales Assistant role with the organization. She is supporting a multitude of sales markets including state, education, cultural, labor unions, health, medical & scientific & engineering, weddings, corporate, public affairs, fraternal, veterans, legal & government as well as agriculture. She is currently working towards her
certificate for Project Management.
