NuLu Food & History Walking Tour

This walking food tour of NuLu tells the story of Louisville and Kentucky through its cuisine. As you stroll through urban NuLu and historic Butchertown, you’ll taste Kentucky and Appalachian classics like bourbon balls and fried chicken, visit a historic home once occupied by Thomas Edison, sample a curious confection inspired by a Victorian-era actress, trace the history of the market district in Louisville, and more.

The tour includes 6 stops for food (please come hungry) and drinks (it’s Bourbon City, y’all)!

During the 3 hours you spent with us, you'll...

  • Explore NuLu & Butchertown's fascinating history
  • Taste 6-7 dishes celebrating Louisville's heritage
  • Sip local craft beer and bourbon slushies

Accessibility: 1.5 miles of walking, no hills or stairs, wheelchair friendly.
