VegFest
Louisville VegFest returns to Mellwood Art Center on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12–6 p.m., bringing together thousands of attendees for one of the region’s largest celebrations of vegan food, community, and plant-based living.
The free festival will feature vendors, vegan restaurants and food trucks, national and local speakers, live music, demonstrations, performances by Turners Circus, nonprofit organizations, artisan goods, wellness businesses, and family-friendly activities. This
year’s festival will expand beyond the indoor vendor halls with additional outdoor programming, including live music and performances, food trucks, and activities throughout the Mellwood property. Attendees can expect a wide variety of vegan food ranging from comfort food and global cuisine to baked goods, snacks, desserts, and drinks. The marketplace will also include cruelty-free and plant-based products, local makers, wellness businesses, animal advocacy organizations, and community groups. The 2026 speaker lineup includes nationally recognized vegan advocates and educators, including Dominick Thompson, known for his work in vegan fitness, animal advocacy, and compassionate living, along with presentations focused on nutrition, vegan travel, health, community, and plant-based lifestyle topics.
