Goatman Festival 2026
Goatman Festival celebrates Kentucky folklore, cryptids and the unexplained at Pope Lick Park, home of Louisville’s legendary Pope Lick Monster. The four-day festival brings together cryptid experts, paranormal enthusiasts, artists, musicians and curious families for seminars, meet-and-greets, live performances, outdoor movies, local vendors, costume contests and unusual competitions.
General festival admission and parking are free, and no ticket or advance registration is required to enter. Optional ticketed experiences include guided tours, the Legend at Pope Lick haunted trail and other upgraded attractions inspired by local folklore.
The festival is held outdoors, with some programs and attractions taking place after dark on natural terrain. Guests should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. The Pope Lick railroad trestle is an active railroad bridge, private property and not part of the festival grounds. Visitors must never enter or climb the trestle.
