WorldFest Showcases Louisville's Global Spirit Over Labor Day Weekend

LOUISVILLE, KY (September 2, 2026) — Visitors and residents alike are invited to experience the 24th annual WorldFest, one of the region's largest international festivals and a signature Labor Day weekend tradition that celebrates the cultures, cuisines and communities that make Louisville a vibrant and welcoming destination.

Held on the Belvedere and along Louisville's downtown waterfront, WorldFest is expected to draw thousands of attendees over four days, offering an immersive cultural experience featuring international entertainment, authentic cuisine, family-friendly activities and opportunities to connect with communities from around the world.

This year's festival will feature:
- Three entertainment stages showcasing international, national, regional and local performers.
- Nearly 150 vendors offering international food, beverages, art and merchandise.
- A Global Village celebrating cultures and customs from around the world.
- A World of Information, sponsored by Louisville Metro's Office for Immigrant Affairs, connecting attendees with services and resources available to Louisville's international residents.
- The Children's International Activity Zone with hands-on arts, crafts and educational activities.
- Bridges Beyond Boxing, a new youth boxing exhibition presented in partnership with the Louisville Sports Commission featuring participants from Louisville and Northern Ireland.
- The Parade of Cultures with nearly 1,000 participants representing Louisville's diverse communities.
- Naturalization Ceremony welcoming more than 100 new American citizens.

Mayor Craig Greenberg encouraged residents and visitors to take advantage of the holiday weekend celebration, saying "I encourage everyone to bring your family and friends downtown over Labor Day weekend to enjoy great food, music, performances, and activities while learning more about all of the international cultures and communities that call Louisville home."

WorldFest continues to serve as one of Louisville's premier cultural events, reinforcing the city's reputation as an inclusive destination where diverse traditions, experiences and perspectives are celebrated. The festival provides an opportunity for visitors to explore Louisville's international influences while supporting local entrepreneurs, artists and community organizations.

WorldFest is free and open to all ages. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday. After 6 p.m., children must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older to enter the event.
