Summer’s Encore: 10 Nights of Music
The Texas Roadhouse Concert series makes for the ultimate August escape
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 17, 2026) – Summer’s not over until the last note plays—and this year, the Kentucky State Fair is closing the season in style with ten straight nights of free concerts, all-day music tents, and the return of crowd-favorite BEERFEST.
Running August 20–24, the fair’s Texas Roadhouse Concert Series offers something for every music fan, from country and gospel to rock legends and throwback pop. Concerts are included with fair admission, making it one of the best entertainment values of the season.
Highlights include:
Cooper Alan + JD Shelbourne (Aug. 20)
Midnight Star + Digital Underground (Aug. 21)
Ricky Skaggs + Kentucky Thunder (Aug. 23)
Happy Together Tour with The Association, The Troggs, Jason Scheff and more (Aug. 25)
Theory of a Deadman + Wyld Ryde
Ernest + Alex Miller (Aug. 26)
Finish the week of music with Foghat + Kentucky Headhunters (Aug. 29)
BEERFEST returns on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 1–4 p.m., serving up tastings from local craft breweries, live music, and photo-worthy moments—all with a souvenir glass in hand. Tickets are $30 in advance and include fair admission and parking.
Beyond the headliners, more than 30 regional bands and tribute acts will keep the party going across two tent stages throughout the fairgrounds every day of the event.
With hotel rates in Louisville historically lower in August, it’s the perfect excuse to turn your concert night into a last-minute summer escape.
