Nominations Being Accepted for 2016 ROSE Awards

The Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau will hold its Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. The highlight of this annual event is the naming of the Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) Award winners. Nominations are now being accepted at www.louisvilleroseawards.com. The deadline for nominations is Sept. 1, 2016, at midnight. Voting begins on Sept. 20, 2016, and runs through Oct. 11, 2016.

The ROSE Awards are presented to front-line employees in the hospitality industry in up to 18 industry-specific categories. A candidate can be nominated by both the general public and /or a supervisor. Only one nomination is required for a candidate to become part of the voting process.

While the number of votes is taken into consideration in selecting the winners, other criteria includes commitment to excellence, customer service, knowledge of the city and region, communications skills, ability to handle problems effectively, attitude and workplace knowledge and lasting impressions.

A Nomination Committee comprised of hospitality and business professionals will confidentially review all nominations and select up to six finalists in each of the six main award categories which include: Accommodations, Dining, Behind the Scenes, Volunteer, Attractions & Transportation.

An overall winner will be selected from all ROSE Award finalists in every category to receive the Spirit of Hospitality Award from the Greater Louisville Hotel & Lodging Association. Other awards to be presented at the luncheon include the Dan Mangeot Memorial Award and the Ambassador Awards.

Tickets for the luncheon are now available for purchase. Single tickets are $40, a table of 10 is $400 and $320 to purchase a table of 10 for a nominee (ROSE Award nominee and one guest are complimentary).
