New “Buffalo Bus” Connects Downtown Louisville Visitors to Buffalo Trace Distillery

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bourbon lovers visiting Louisville will have a new way to explore one of Kentucky’s most celebrated distilleries this fall. Mint Julep Experiences is partnering with Buffalo Trace Distillery to launch the Buffalo Bus, offering direct round-trip transportation from downtown Louisville to the historic Frankfort distillery.

The half-day experience will operate Thursdays through Saturdays from September 3 through November 14, with guaranteed departures and a maximum of 22 guests per trip.

Departing from the Omni Louisville Hotel, the Buffalo Bus takes guests to Buffalo Trace Distillery for the Distilled Tour & Tasting, followed by free time to explore the distillery gift shop and purchase available bottles and souvenirs. Guests return to downtown Louisville by 2 p.m., leaving plenty of time to continue exploring Bourbon City.

The experience is designed to make a visit to Buffalo Trace simple and accessible for travelers staying in Louisville, eliminating the need to rent a car or arrange transportation while providing a guided bourbon experience along the way.

Tickets are $89 per person, before taxes and fees, and include round-trip transportation, the distillery tour and tasting, and time at the Buffalo Trace gift shop. Gratuity is not included.

The new offering adds another option for Louisville visitors looking to use Bourbon City as their home base for exploring Kentucky bourbon. With a growing collection of distilleries, tasting rooms, bourbon bars and experiences within the city—and easy access to distilleries throughout the region—Louisville offers travelers the opportunity to experience Kentucky bourbon both in the city and beyond.
