Louisville Welcomes Back a Beloved Holiday Tradition with A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol will run Nov. 28 through Dec. 20, 2026
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 14, 2026) — The holidays are taking center stage in Louisville as one of the city’s beloved seasonal traditions returns to Actors Theatre of Louisville. A Christmas Carol will run Nov. 28 through Dec. 20, 2026, in the Pamela Brown Auditorium, offering visitors and locals another festive reason to experience downtown Louisville this holiday season.
Charles Dickens’ classic story returns with Scrooge, enchanting ghosts, a lively cast of characters and the familiar themes of generosity, community and second chances. Adapted by Lavina Jadhwani and co-directed by Amelia Acosta Powell and Emily Tarquin, the production has become a holiday tradition for generations of Louisville families.
“Louisville really comes alive during the holidays, and traditions like A Christmas Carol are part of what makes the season here so special,” said Cleo Battle, president and CEO of Louisville Tourism. “Whether you’re continuing a longtime family tradition or experiencing the production for the first time, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gather together and enjoy the arts in the heart of Louisville.”
Tickets start at $30, with discounted tickets available for children ages 12 and under. Performances sold out last season, so theatergoers are encouraged to reserve seats early. For tickets and additional information, visit Actors Theatre of Louisville website.
