Louisville Tourism Debuts ‘The Bourbon City Companion’
Curated guide offers a deeper pour into the city’s renowned spirited culture
Louisville, KY (April 9, 2026) — Louisville Tourism is introducing a new Bourbon City Companion, an upmarket, curated guide to help visitors and locals navigate the spirited heart of Bourbon City. The Bourbon City Companion will debut on April 10 at the downtown Louisville Visitor Center during April’s Mint Julep Month®
celebration.
Mint Julep Month® been recognizing Louisville’s iconic cocktail around the build-up to the Kentucky Derby season for the past 13 years. The April 10 celebration and Bourbon City Companion launch at the Visitor Center, located at 4th and Jefferson Street, will feature bourbon tastings by Copper & Kings, live music by Esteemed Colleagues, light bites and giveaway items from 3-5pm.
The Bourbon City Companion offers an approachable yet comprehensive look at bourbon in Louisville, with a primer, a directory of distilleries and tasting rooms, and a curated mix of experiences—from hands-on blending and culinary pairings to standout cocktail bars and cultural stops. The guide also features classic bourbon cocktail recipes, a roundup of events and festivals, and a refreshed look at the Urban Bourbon Trail®, now presented as an annual, expert-curated list of the city’s top bourbon bars and restaurants.
