(Jan. 29, 2026) — The Ghoman Group today announced plans to bring a new JW Marriott hotel to downtown Louisville, transforming the historic Fifth Third building into a world-class luxury hospitality destination. Slated to open in 2027, JW Marriott Louisville will redefine elevated service and sophisticated design in one of Kentucky’s most vibrant urban cores.
Perfectly situated at Fourth and Market Streets, the hotel will be located adjacent to 4th Street Live! with sweeping views of the Ohio River and immediate access to bourbon distilleries, acclaimed restaurants, cultural attractions, and the Kentucky International Convention Center — enhancing Louisville’s walkable downtown experience for both business and leisure travelers.
The property will feature 418 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites designed for comfort and refinement, as well as 15,056 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including a stunning 6,043-square-foot ballroom ideal for weddings, conferences, and corporate functions.
A curated collection of five upscale dining venues will offer locally inspired cuisine and elevated experiences, while a signature rooftop bar will provide breathtaking skyline and riverfront views. The development will also include 954 square feet of retail space, contributing to an active street-level environment.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with the opening anticipated in 2027.
