Boo at the Zoo returns for its 45th year at the Louisville Zoo

LOUISVILLE, KY (September 1, 2026) One of Louisville’s favorite Halloween traditions returns this fall as Boo at the Zoo celebrates its 45th year at the Louisville Zoo. The family-friendly event takes place Thursday through Sunday evenings from Oct. 1-30, 2026.
Boo at the Zoo transforms the Zoo into a festive Halloween experience featuring character encounters, music, photo opportunities and trick-or-treating for children 11 and under. Guests of all ages are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy Louisville’s signature "merry, not scary" Halloween tradition.
Admission includes Boo at the Zoo entry, parking, the Spooktacular Carousel, Spider House and the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow attraction.

Sensory-Friendly Night: Oct. 7
Firefighter Night: Oct. 24
Allergy-Friendly Night: Oct. 28
Tickets are on sale now at Louisville Zoo Boo at the Zoo. Guests must select a date and arrival time, and popular nights are expected to sell out.
