Big Four Arts Festival returns to Waterfront Park

LOUISVILLE, KY (September 1, 2026) – Louisville's vibrant arts scene will take center stage Sept. 12-13 as the Big Four Arts Festival returns to the Big Four Bridge Lawn at Waterfront Park, bringing together more than 200 juried fine artists and craftsmen from across the country.

The two-day outdoor festival offers visitors and residents the opportunity to browse and purchase original works of art while enjoying live music, local food trucks and activities for all ages along Louisville's scenic waterfront. Food truck offerings will include bao and dumplings, crepes, Kentucky barbecue, grilled cheese, seafood, kettle corn and New Orleans style snow cones. Vegan and gluten free options are on the lawn too, along with beer, wine and mocktails.

Held beneath one of Louisville's most iconic landmarks, the Big Four Arts Festival has become a signature fall event, drawing art enthusiasts, families and visitors to the city's award-winning Waterfront Park.

In addition to featuring a diverse collection of fine art and hand-crafted works, the festival offers children's art stations and other family-friendly activities, making it an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. Festival proceeds support local mental health services, adding an important community benefit to the event.

Returning this year are the festival's popular farm animal ambassadors, including pink llamas, alpacas, chickens, cows and baby goats. The children's activity tent offers hands-on fun with rock painting, paper sculpture and clay art projects.

Festivalgoers can enjoy live performances throughout the weekend while exploring artwork, dining from local food trucks and taking in the scenic views along Louisville's waterfront.

Festival hours are Saturday, Sept. 12: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 13: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is $5 per person with tickets available at the entrance and through the festival website. Children under 12 are free. Free street parking with overflow at the Lynn Family Stadium lot.
