A Toast Is Coming to NuLu This November

LOUISVILLE, KY — November 2026 — Nouvelle Bar & Bottle will celebrate nine years in Louisville with a Champagne-focused anniversary gathering in NuLu on Sunday, November 8.

From 1 to 6 p.m., the wine bar and bottle shop will pour nine different Champagnes from magnums, alongside special anniversary treats, at 214 S. Clay Street. The event is free to attend for guests ages 21 and older.

The celebration reflects the personal relationships behind Nouvelle’s Champagne program. Owner and Wine Director John Grisanti has spent years returning to Champagne and building friendships with the grower-producers and families behind wines from Geoffroy, Famille Moussé, Bérêche, JM Sélèque, Pierre Paillard, Laherte Frères and others.

“Champagne is one of those places where the more time you spend there, the more you realize how much there is to discover—and how much of that discovery comes down to the people,” said Grisanti. “When you bring those wines back to Louisville, you’re sharing a lot more than what’s in the bottle. You’re sharing a piece of those people and their lives.”

The anniversary follows a notable year for Nouvelle’s wine program. In 2026, the bar received Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence and Star Wine List’s International Silver Star for Best Sparkling Wine List, recognizing the strength of its overall cellar and sparkling-wine selection.
