21c Museum Hotel Louisville Recognized in Condé Nast Traveler’s Prestigious Triple Crown Awards
The property is among the inaugural winners of the new award celebrating hotels that have earned the publication’s three highest accolades
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 2, 2026)— 21c Museum Hotel Louisville has been named a winner in the inaugural Condé Nast Traveler 2026 Triple Crown Awards, a distinction reserved for a select group of hotels that have achieved all three of the publication’s most prestigious awards: the Hot List, Gold List and Readers’ Choice Awards.
Representing Condé Nast Traveler’s definitive collection of the world’s best hotels, the Triple Crown Awards recognize properties that have earned acclaim from both the publication’s editors and its readers.
The award also coincides with a major milestone for 21c Museum Hotels, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026. Founded in Louisville by Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson, 21c began with the opening of 21c Museum Hotel Louisville in 2006 and has since grown into a nationally-recognized hospitality and contemporary art brand with properties across the United States. This distinction serves as a fitting tribute to the vision that began in Louisville two decades ago: creating spaces where contemporary art, hospitality, and community intersect in meaningful ways.
Louisville’s reputation as a premier destination for arts, culture and hospitality also received another national boost this summer when 21c Museum Hotel Louisville was featured on CBS Saturday Morning as one of the country’s standout hotel experiences.
During the June 6 episode, Erin Florio, Global Features Director at Condé Nast Traveler, highlighted 21c Louisville while discussing the publication’s prestigious Triple Crown Awards. Florio singled out 21c Louisville as one of the award’s notable domestic properties that also offers exceptional value for travelers.
“This kind of national recognition reinforces what visitors and residents already know—that Louisville offers world-class experiences that rival those found in much larger markets,” said Stacey Yates, Chief Marketing Officer for Louisville Tourism. “21c Museum Hotel has become an iconic part of Louisville’s tourism landscape, seamlessly blending contemporary art, hospitality and authentic local culture. Exposure on a national platform like CBS helps introduce even more travelers to all that Louisville has to offer.”
“As we celebrate 20 years in Louisville, it's especially meaningful to be included among this year’s Triple Crown winners,” said Andrew Carter, General Manager at 21c Louisville. “It’s a reminder that travelers continue to seek experiences that are creative, authentic, and rooted in community. We’re honored to be included among such an exceptional group of hotels.”
Located on historic Museum Row in downtown Louisville, 21c Museum Hotel Louisville is the flagship property of the award-winning 21c Museum Hotels brand. Housed within a collection of restored 19th-century tobacco and bourbon warehouses, the property combines a boutique hotel experience with a contemporary art museum, which is open free of charge to the public 24/7. The hotel features 91 guest rooms and suites, rotating contemporary art exhibitions, more than 9,000 square feet of exhibition space, and acclaimed restaurant Proof on Main.
The national spotlight comes as Louisville continues to earn recognition for its vibrant arts scene, culinary offerings, bourbon experiences and distinctive accommodations, helping attract leisure travelers from across the country.
