David Dominé's Louisville Historic Tours
As recommended by The New York Times! Seven days a week, Louisville Historic Tours offers award-winning guided walks through Old Louisville, the country's grandest Victorian neighborhood. With some 40-square blocks and hundreds of examples of impressive Victorian architecture, it's easy to understand why people love Old Louisville. Based on books by local author David Dominé, our guided walks are designed to give you a broad overview of the neighborhood and its most impressive sights. David himself often shows up to guide the groups in person. Seven days a week at 11AM, 1PM, & 7:30PM and private tours on request. Daytime tours focus on history and architecture; nighttime tours highlight the ghost stories and legends. Don't confuse us with other walking tours in the city. We are the only company to offer guided architecture walks during the day and haunted history walks in the evening. Our tours depart from select locations (check your ticket details) at the transitional edge of Old Louisville, about a mile down the road from the famous Brown Hotel at Fourth and Broadway in downtown Louisville. We do not depart from Central Park; that is a newer walking tour organization. Since 2004, we have offered The Original Old Louisville Walking Tour! (March 15-November 15; select dates in the off-season)
