The Kentucky Colonel Commission is the highest honor awarded by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, recognizing individuals for their noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to their community. The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels organization is a 501(c)(3) that supports worthy nonprofits by actively engaging Colonels, fostering strong relationships, maintaining high vetting standards, and being a good steward of our resources and traditions… all with integrity and compassion. The Kentucky Colonels is a non-partisan organization receiving no state government direction or support. In 2024, the Honorable Order awarded $2.5 million in grants that positively impacted almost 3.9 million Kentuckians.
