Make some Old Fashioned memories this holiday season at one of Louisville's many holiday bars — from over-the-top pop-ups decorated from floor to ceiling to cozy corners that will have you dreaming of a white Christmas.

Opens Monday, Nov. 17

  • Location: One Fourteen Bar, 114 W. Main St.
  • Hours: Coming soon
  • Features: Tiki-inspired drinks and retro decor, themed mugs, neon photo ops, and special events, like the ugly sweater contest
  • Staff pick: Pineapple Upside-Down Cask — served in a barrel-shaped glass covered in pineapple rings

❄️ Miracle on Market
November 18-December 28

  • Location: Galaxie, 732 E. Market St.
  • Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m.-12 a.m. | Saturday, 12 p.m.-2 a.m. | Sunday, 12 p.m.-12 a.m.
  • Features: One of Louisville’s first holiday pop-ups, known for over-the-top, floor-to-ceiling decorations, kitschy glassware, and a holiday-themed food menu
  • Staff pick: Snowball Old Fashioned — a festive spin on a Louisville classic served on “snowball” ice cube in a themed rocks glass

  • Features: A cozy white Christmas theme, fireplace, photo ops, a food menu, and group reservations
  • Staff pick: Gingerbread Old Fashioned — it’s served with a gingerbread cookie, need we say more?

❄️ Tinsel Tavern
November 21-December 30

  • Location: Pizza Bar, 445 S. 4th St.
  • Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, 5-11 p.m. | Friday & Saturday, 5 p.m.-1 a.m.
  • Features: Holiday bingo and karaoke, themed bites, and add-on experiences, like cookie decorating and build-your-own smores
  • Staff pick: Leg Melon-Kelikimaka — a tropical cocktail served in a replica of the lamp from “A Christmas Story”

  • Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, 4 p.m.-12 a.m. | Friday & Saturday, 4 p.m.-2 a.m.
  • Features: A vintage bowling alley, tinsel and lights, speakeasy vibes
  • Staff pick: The Blitzen — a classy cocktail made with Woodford Reserve rye, a ginger-apple syrup, and bitters

  • Location: Trial + Error, 722 W. Main St.
  • Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. | Friday & Saturday, 11-12 a.m.
  • Features: New this year, ski lodge theme, located in a basement cocktail lounge
