Bourbon Bread Pudding & Proof's Darkened Manhattan
Bread Pudding
- 1/2 loaf French bread
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 7 eggs
- 2.5 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons Bourbon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup Bourbon
- 1.5 sticks butter
Turn oven on to 350 degrees. Cube bread and place in large bowl. Cover with milk and cream and soak for 30 minutes. Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla and add to bread mix. Add the melted butter into a 2 qt. baking dish and bake for one hour.
Bourbon Sauce
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup Bourbon

- 1 ½ ounces Woodford Reserve Bourbon
- 1 ounce Sweet Vermouth
- 1 ounce Coffee Liqueur
