As Louisville continues to celebrate being named Lonely Planet’s “Top U.S. Travel Destination for 2013,” let’s take a look at some more of the accolades the Culinary Capital of Bourbon Country racked up over the past year:

  • Louisville was named one of the “Best Foodie Getaways around the World” by Zagat.
  • Louisville was named one of the top 10 “Tastiest Towns” by Southern Living.
  • Zagat named Louisville one of 7 Up-and-Coming Food Cities in the U.S.
  • Bootsnall.com listed Louisville as one of “8 of the Best American Small Towns for Foodies.”
  • Louisville’s NuLu neighborhood is one of Zagat’s “20 Hot Food Neighborhoods in 12 U.S. Cities” and East Market Street was named one of the “10 Best Foodie Streets in America” by Food & Wine.
  • Louisville made the list for “The 10 Best College Towns for True Foodies” on thebestcolleges.org.
  • The Hot Brown was named one of “America’s Best Sandwiches” by Travel + Leisure Magazine.
  • Harvest was named on Food & Wine’s “Best Southern Food in the U.S.” list.
  • Hammerheads' chef was named top 10 in the region by Food & Wine Magazine.
  • Holy Grale was recognized in Draft Magazine’s list of America’s 100 Best Beer Bars, and in Food & Wine Magazine’s roundup of “Best Sliders in the U.S.”
  • Proof on Main came in at #3 in the top 10 list of “America’s Best Hotel Bars” by USA Today.
  • 610 Magnolia, MilkWood, Proof on Main and Seviche were all listed on the Southern Living Daily South round-up of “100 Places to Eat Now”.
  • Kenny Smith of Sunergos Coffee won the title of America’s Best Latte Artist at the SCAA Latte Art Competition in Boston and Sunergo’s made Zagat’s “United States of Coffee: 50 States, 50 Must-Try Coffee Shops” list.
