DAY ONE

BreakfastPROOF ON MAIN at the 21c Museum Hotel features an ever-evolving menu of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. After breakfast, be sure and browse the impressive contemporary art collection on display at the hotel.

LOUISVILLE MEGA CAVERN is home to four one-of-a-kind attractions, including tram tours, a ropes course, and the world’s only underground zip line course and bike park.

LunchBLUE DOG BAKERY in Louisville’s Crescent Hill neighborhood is known for its artisan breads made in a wood-fired brick oven. In fact, Food & Dining Magazine says it’s “as good as any bread you’ll find in the U.S., and competitive with the best in Europe.”

BUTCHERTOWN MARKET is a one-stop shop for a little retail therapy, including artisan chocolates and Bourbon balls, Mint Julep and Bourbon-scented soaps, lotions and candles and more unique gifts.

COPPER & KINGS – Take a tour of the brandy distillery in historic Butchertown, where you’ll find brandy sonically aging to rock music. The tour also includes a sampling in the rooftop tasting room, which boasts gorgeous views of downtown Louisville.

Happy HourGARAGE BAR in NuLu (housed in a former auto service garage) is the place to unwind with a craft beer, Bourbon or seasonal cocktail. If you stop by in the summer, you’re likely to catch a match of ping pong in full swing.

DinnerDECCA’s commitment to locally-farmed and small production ingredients is evident in its kitchen, and throughout the bar and wine program. Located in a historically renovated 1870’s building, Decca features local artists and musicians alongside inspired food and drinks.

NightlifeCELLAR LOUNGE, located downstairs at Decca, is the place to pop into for an after-dinner drink. Live jazz, vinyl or sounds from the jukebox fill the air.

DAY TWO

Early morning snackPLEASE & THANK YOU is the perfect place to kick off your morning. Enjoy a cup of coffee and be sure and browse the vinyl selection at the charming local café and bakery in the city’s NuLu neighborhood.

BARN & BACKSIDE TOUR AT CHURCHILL DOWNS -– Get a behind-the-scenes, exclusive view of the legendary racetrack that’s home to the Kentucky Derby. If you go on the 8:30 a.m. tour, you can stand railside and watch thoroughbreds (and potential Derby winners) during their morning track workouts.

Lunch WAGNER’S PHARMACY, a Churchill Downs tradition, is a local favorite for horse trainers, jockeys and celebrities. History hangs all over its walls, which feature a collage of past Derby winners and famous faces. Wagner’s was also featured in the blockbuster movie “Secretariat.”

EVAN WILLIAMS BOURBON EXPERIENCE, the official first stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, features an artisanal distillery tour, tastings and more.

Happy Hour/Dinner8UP ELEVATED DRINKERY & KITCHEN – Kick back with a Bourbon cocktail and apps/dinner at the hot spot located on the 8th floor of the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. The rooftop bar and restaurant offers breathtaking views of the city skyline.

Nightlife – LGBTQ Bars NOWHERE, BIG BAR and CHILL BAR are all located within walking distance of one another on Bardstown Road in Louisville’s hip and happening Highlands neighborhood.
