More than 1.2 million square feet of indoor exhibition space
Louisville is one of the nation’s most successful convention destinations with two outstanding convention centers. The Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), the sixth largest facility of its kind in the United States, covers more than 1.2 million square feet of indoor exhibition space, meeting rooms and public areas including Freedom Hall, a 19,000-seat indoor arena. Located just minutes from downtown near I-65, I-264 and the Louisville International Airport, the Kentucky Exposition Center is the permanent home of large-scale events like the National Farm Machinery Show, Kentucky State Fair and the North American International Livestock Exposition. On a historical note, KEC's Freedom Hall was the site of hometown hero and global icon Muhammad Ali's first professional fight and the adjacent North Wing hosted 10,000 fans paying their last respects to the Champ in a special Memorial on June 9, 2016
