SUMMARY This internship is a paid opportunity for a college student or recent graduate studying marketing, communications or a similar field. This role will work with closely with the Communications Manager to brainstorm, plan and produce content for a variety of social media platforms while also partnering with other departments (Education and Programming, Vessel Operations, etc.) to create that content. A day at the office may look like filming a TikTok, editing a YouTube video, or writing a social media post. At the end of the internship, the intern will have created a strong portfolio of work to use towards future applications. This is a temporary opportunity, with an average of 20 to 25 hours per week. The role can be up to 40 hours per week if the selected candidate would like to cross train in Group Sales and/or Guest Services. (Cross training not required.) Responsibilities: • Create original and unique social media content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube) and planning those posts in a strategic content calendar • Moderate and respond to comments and direct messages across social media platforms, in addition to engaging with content across social media profiles to expand social media presence • Assist with the filming and editing of video content for TikTok, YouTube and Instagram Reels • Write long-form blog posts highlighting various aspects of the organization, including historical information, crew spotlights and more • Monitor and respond to Google reviews in addition to distributing review feedback to crew members on a weekly basis • Research historical information and accurately implement that content into trivia stories (for Instagram), blog posts, video content, etc. • Design graphics for use in social media stories, video thumbnails, etc. • Perform additional marketing, communications and social media tasks as needed Preferred Requirements and Skills: • Attention to detail • Knowledgeable on the most up-to-date social media trends • Strong writing, editing, research and design skills • AP Style • Adobe Premiere Pro • Canva • Meta Business Suite • Microsoft Office Application Requirements: • Resume • Portfolio PAY & BENEFITS • $16/hour (negotiable based on experience)
