Bardstown Motor Lodge is hiring for a full-time Operations Manager. We are looking for a conscientious Operations Manager to oversee the Front Desk and Housekeeping operations of the new Bardstown Motor Lodge. In this role, you will be the face of the property, greet and welcome guests, tend to their questions and needs, manage guest bookings, develop and implement staff schedules for both the front office and housekeeping, maintain cleanliness standards for public spaces and guest rooms, and assist in the overall production of each department. To be a successful Operations Manager, you should possess strong time management and organizational skills and be financially minded. A top-notch Operations Manager should provide exceptional guest service and strong leadership skills. This is not a desk job and is a fun, interactive, and participative role in the successful creation of a new hotel. This is a role that requires autonomy and independent decision-making that always seeks to better our product, our guest experience, and our team member experience. Defining and implementing front desk objectives and procedures. Hiring and training staff and managing the shift schedules for the front office and housekeeping departments. Tending to guests' complaints and questions while providing exceptional guest service. Ensuring that the front desk and public spaces are kept clean and organized. Maintaining front desk and housekeeping supplies and equipment. Managing budgets, records, and contracts. Supervising staff and all front desk activities including bookings, appointments, phone calls, and emails. Conducting performance reviews with the front desk staff and housekeeping. Generating reports and feedback for presentation to the general manager. Performing administrative duties such as filing and updating records, among others, as needed. Stand-in for any member of staff that is unavailable to carry out their duties in order to prevent any unfilled gap. Responsible for ensuring dirty laundries are timelessly and appropriately cleaned. Preferred Experience High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in hospitality or similar preferred A minimum of 2 years of experience as a front desk/housekeeping manager or similar. Proficient in Hotel PMS such as Stay n' Touch, OPERA, Hollidex, and Saflok. Thorough understanding of procedures and practices in the hospitality industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to provide exceptional and memorable guest service.
