Toogie's Table is hiring for a Lead Administrative Bartender! Front-of-house staff is friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and works in a professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction. This position serves as a bartender, as well as assisting with administrative aspects of maintaining the bar, including inventory, invoicing, proposing menu updates, and enforcing Health Department regulations for cleanliness and organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Welcomes guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preference, making recommendations, and taking drink orders. Demonstrates genuine hospitality during every interaction with our guests; including greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, answering questions, thanking guests, and inviting them to return upon their departure. Records and submits weekly inventory of bar stock to Restaurant Management and the Beverage Manager for review. Oversees the organization of bar inventory storage systems: this includes the walk-in fridges and liquor room cleanliness, product FIFO, stock consolidation, and deep cleaning projects. Submits weekly product orders to the Restaurant Manager and the Beverage Manager Follows and enforces Health Department guidelines, adhering to all food safety and quality regulations. Organizes and codes product invoices for submission to the Beverage Manager. Communicates proposed menu additions/changes to Restaurant Management Team for review and publication. Ensures all bar equipment is running properly and report any facilities issues to Restaurant Management and Beverage Manager. Devotes one shift a week, Saturday or Sunday, to completing weekly inventory and administrative duties. Abides by all State and Federal Liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Attends pre-shift meeting to review/communicate information regarding service, VIPs, and Specials. Handles cash and credit card transactions. Records drink orders accurately into POS system. Prepares the following before and during service; fruit, syrups, garnishes, glassware, bar equipment, and all other preparation tasks instructed by Beverage Manager, FOH Manager or General Manager. Upsells drink and food items at the bar. Responds promptly to guest requests in a polite and professional manner. Arranges glasses and bottles into an attractive and functional display. Answers guest questions about food and beverage preparation details and communicate specific guest needs to the kitchen and bar. Skills and Experience High School Diploma Knowledge of standard drink recipes. 1 Year of Restaurant Bartending Experience. 1 Year of customer service experience. Communication Skills Interpersonal Skills Proficiency in a fast-paced environment.
