Following the executive chef, the Sous Chef is second command in the kitchen, sets the tone and pace of services and is responsible for leading the team in the absence of the executive chef. *Relocation bonus included in the position* A successful Sous Chef holds the following responsibilities Kitchen You are reliable and self motivated and maintain a positive attitude! You are open to learning new processes and techniques You are have the ability to delegate and command a team You are comfortable coordinating with the Executive Chef and team You follow standardized recipes You have an incredible passion for real food, sustainability, and delicious plates You can provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating You ensure guest satisfaction through an exceptional dining experience and customer feedback You can analyze inventory, staffing, and budget data to forecast and identify trends You assist the Executive Chef with overall kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center You exhibit culinary talents by personally performing tasks while assisting in leading the staff and, supervising all kitchen areas to ensure consistency, and manage all food related functions You ensure all recipes and product yields are accurately costed, prepared as per standard recipe whilst maintaining portion control, and reviewed regularly, You ensure chefs are always in clean tidy uniforms and are always presentable to be in guest view You ensure the culinary department adheres to Naives policies and procedures You project a positive and motivated attitude to the entire Naive Team You oversee and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients You follow plate presentation guidelines and service and production time standards Administrative Assist in managing inventory and costs with the Executive Chef Support staffing needs for BOH open positions Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of related experience required 1+ years of management experience required Maintains a positive attitude with high volume Has experience with back of house administrative and managerial duties Proven ability in teaching and mentoring kitchen employees Have the stamina to work in excess of 40 hours per week Job Type: Full-time Pay: $37,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
