Purpose of the Role: Seeking an energetic multi-tasker with retail and hospitality experience who is committed to taking excellent care of Belle of Louisville Riverboats customers, while effectively leading a team of hourly/seasonal workers. Essential Responsibilities: • Lead all Ticket Office/Gift Shop operations-- from hiring and training seasonal staff to ensuring the team provides a professional, timely and friendly experience for guests every day • Manage all daily functions of the hospitality team, providing oversight in all areas, including greeting guests, accurately answering phone and in-person inquiries regarding cruise and retail offerings, booking reservations and completing gift shop sales, mobile passenger check-in for each cruise and cash drawer reconciliation • Schedule hospitality staff and ensure effective coverage at all times • Take responsibility for ensuring all passengers receive their onboard, pre-ordered special services, as well as coordinating with Food & Beverage staff regarding dietary requests/food allergies • Manage all aspects of the Retail Gift Shop and onboard souvenir sales, including item selection, ordering, stocking, pricing, inventory, upkeep and display design, consistent with the organization’s branding and audience development efforts • Function as part of the Belle of Louisville Riverboats management team to make progress toward the organization’s strategic and operational goals • Work with Passenger Experience Director and cross-functionally to ensure guests’ needs and wants are being addressed and shared with leadership • Partner with Communications/Marketing to identify most effective and on-brand discounts • Partner with Communications/Marketing to ensure accurate and consistent information is being shared with guests • Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge & Skills • Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Experience o 5 to 7 years of experience in hospitality, hotel or restaurant industries o At least 3 to 5 years of management experience o Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills o Ability to work with diverse audiences o Possess strong computer skills with an ability to learn Rocket Rez ticketing system (training and resources provided). Knowledge of Microsoft Office required o Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) preferred
