Heading to Louisville in the fall? Make it a Hallow-Weekend!


3:00pm - Get yourself in the fall mood by taking a walk around CHEROKEE PARK’S 2.6-mile scenic loop. Guaranteed to have some of the best fall foliage in town!

5:00pm - Make your way into the heart of the Highlands neighborhood for a craft beer at the Belgian beer “church,” HOLY GRALE

6:30pm - Head to one of the great Bardstown Road pubs, O’SHEAS on Baxter Ave, for people-watching and local delicacies like the Whiskey-Steak Sandwich or the Benedictine BLT

8:00pm - Meet in the front bar room of Molly Malone’s to depart on the ORIGINAL HIGHLANDS GHOST TOUR, guided by a local historian and Louisville expert


9:00am - Start your day with an order of pumpkin pancakes from TOAST ON MARKET or the Hot Brown Benedict at WILD EGGS

11:30am - Board the historic BELLE OF LOUISVILLE steamboat for an Oktoberfest/Lunch cruise, complete with a German-style theme and live entertainment. The cruise will take you down the Ohio River, past the glowing foliage on Louisville’s waterfront.

3:00pm - Return to shore

3:30pm - Get creative and blow-your-own glass pumpkin ornament at FLAME RUN GLASS STUDIO AND GALLERY

4:30pm - Drive to Frankfort Ave and park your vehicle at HEINE BROTHERS coffee shop. Order a Campfire Tea Latte and a snack for your upcoming walk.

5:00pm - Walk HILLCREST AVENUE to see the best display of Halloween decorations in town – you’ll have a chance to chat with the locals as they sit on their front porches to enjoy the parade of onlookers.

7:15pm - Gates open at Iroquois Park for JACK O’LANTERN SPECTACULAR. Pick up a soda, beer, or wine at the entrance to take with you on the trail.

9:00pm - Have a late, hearty BBQ dinner at FEAST BBQ in the NULU neighborhood, then finish the night with a seasonal cocktail from RYE ON MARKET, right across the street!


9:00am - Grab a coffee and a pastry to-go from GHYSLAIN ON MARKET

9:15am - Take a short drive to HUBER’S ORCHARD & WINERY in Starlight, IN. Spend a couple hours pumpkin picking, hay riding, and wine tasting. Make sure to pick up some of their unbeatable apple butter from the farmer’s market.

12:30pm - Return to Louisville and join the locals at HARVEST LOUISVILLE for an always-seasonal menu, complete with brunch and lunch favorites

2:00pm - Catch a matinee showing of Dracula at Louisville’s ACTORS THEATRE

5:00pm - If you have little ones, get dressed up and join the “World’s Largest Halloween Party” at Louisville’s BOO AT THE ZOO


If there are no kids in tow, take a mini road trip to Frankfort, KY for a Ghost Tour and bourbon tasting at BUFFALO TRACE DISTILLERY

10:00pm - End your evening with a spooky screening at the BAXTER AVENUE THEATRE
