PGA Championship 2024

In 2024, Valhalla Golf Club plays host to its fourth PGA Championship. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Valhalla opened in 1986 and has already established itself as one of golf’s most storied venues.

In 2014, Rory McIlroy battled soggy conditions and impending darkness to claim his second Wanamaker Trophy, besting Phil Mickelson by a single shot. In 2000, Tiger Woods defeated Bob May in a three-hole cumulative score playoff. In the 1996 PGA Championship - Valhalla’s first Major Championship - Mark Brooks edged Kentuckian Kenny Perry in a one-hole playoff. Valhalla also hosted the Ryder Cup in 2008, a 16½-11½ triumph for the United States.
