“O, beware, my lord, of jealousy;
It is the green-ey'd monster, which doth mock
The meat it feeds on.”

Lies, deceit, jealousy, and malicious plots… and that’s just in the first soliloquy! Kentucky Shakespeare’s Most Evil Villain Showdown 2020 chose Iago as the worst of the worst, and this production will show exactly how he won that crown. He manipulates the honored war hero Othello, his lieutenant Cassio, and his own wife the brilliant Emilia, leading the downfall of pretty much everyone. Our production is set within the modern-day Italian military, and Jon Huffman, Dathan Hooper, Hallie Dizdarevic, and Jennifer Pennington give visceral and breathtaking performances.

The production ran June 28-July 21, 2018 at the C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheater in Central Park, Old Louisville.
