Louisville Zoo

Overview

The Louisville Zoo, a non-profit organization and state zoo of Kentucky, is dedicated to bettering the bond between people and our planet by providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for visitors, and leadership in scientific research and conservation education. The Zoo is accredited by the American Association of Museums (AAM) and by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

We are home to more than 1,700 animals on 134 botantical acres.

Hours of Operation:
Sept. - Feb.: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (exit by 5)
March - Labor Day: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (exit by 6)
Extended summer hours June-August. Call for times or visit the Zoo's website at www.louisvillezoo.org.

The Louisville Zoo is open year-round and is closed only on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. Visit the Zoo's website for special events and special early closings.
