In this episode Stacey and Jessica make Goetta and KY High Balls
- 1 lb. pork sausage
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 ½ tbs. garlic
- 2 ½ cups steel cut oats
- 8 c. water
Add the oats, salt and pepper and 8 cups of water to a large pot. Stir and cook for 2 hours over medium heat on the stove.
Add the ground beef, pork, onion and garlic. Stir and cook for an additional hour.
Pour the mixture into 2 loaf pans and refrigerate overnight.
To finish, turn out the congealed loaf onto a cutting board and cut into slices – the thickness is to your preference. Then fry the slices in a hot skillet with butter.
Kentucky High Balls
- 2 slices of fresh ginger1/2 ounce ginger simple syrup
- ¾ ounce fresh squeezed Lime juice
In a cocktail shaker muddle ginger, ginger simple syrup and lime juice. Add ice and 2 ounces of bourbon. Shake well and strain into a tall glass with ice. Top with club soda.
